Why I became a PEDO Ambassador

I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal access to education, opportunities, technology, and a supportive university environment. I want to contribute to promoting disability inclusion and help create a campus where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.

As a BS (ICS/IT) student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I am interested in technology and its potential to make education and communication more accessible. I would like to promote awareness about assistive technologies, digital resources, accessible learning tools, and other facilities that can help students with disabilities overcome barriers in their academic journey.

As a DRC Ambassador, I would serve as a bridge between students and the Disability Resource Center by listening to students' concerns, sharing information about available services, and helping them connect with appropriate academic, financial, technological, and career support. I would also encourage students with disabilities to participate confidently in academic, extracurricular, technological, and professional activities.

I believe that inclusion is not only about providing facilities, but also about creating awareness and developing a culture of respect and understanding. I would work with fellow students to promote accessibility, equal participation, and positive attitudes toward persons with disabilities.

This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to contribute to an inclusive and accessible environment where every student is valued for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, participate, and succeed.
