Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal access to education, technology, opportunities, and a supportive learning environment. I want to contribute to promoting disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.
As an ICT student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I am interested in the role of technology in improving communication, accessibility, and access to information. I believe technology can play an important role in helping students with disabilities overcome barriers and participate more actively in academic and university activities.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would help raise awareness about the services and resources available through the Disability Resource Center, including assistive technology, academic support, scholarships, career opportunities, and other facilities. I would listen to students' concerns, help connect them with appropriate support, and encourage them to participate confidently in academic, extracurricular, technological, and professional activities.
I would also work with fellow students to promote a culture of respect, understanding, accessibility, and equal participation. I believe that inclusion is a shared responsibility, and students can play an important role in creating positive change within the university.
This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to contribute to an inclusive and accessible campus where every student is valued for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, participate, develop their skills, and succeed.
