Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities, respect, and access to a supportive and inclusive educational environment. I want to contribute to promoting awareness about disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.
As an Agriculture student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I value teamwork, cooperation, and community service. I would like to use these values to support the Disability Resource Center (DRC) and help promote greater understanding of the challenges faced by students with disabilities, as well as their abilities and potential.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would help students learn about available DRC services, academic support, scholarships, assistive resources, career opportunities, and other facilities. I would listen to students' concerns, help connect them with the appropriate support, and encourage students with disabilities to participate actively in academic, extracurricular, research, sports, and professional activities.
I would also work to promote a respectful attitude toward disability among fellow students and encourage everyone to contribute to a more accessible and inclusive campus. I believe that inclusion is a shared responsibility and that every student can play a role in creating positive change.
Through this opportunity, I hope to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to help build an environment where every student is valued for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, participate, grow, and succeed.
