Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities, respect, and access to an inclusive educational environment. I want to contribute to promoting awareness about disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel supported, respected, and confident.
As a BS (Hons) Agriculture student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I understand the importance of teamwork, community participation, and supporting one another. I would like to use these values to contribute to the work of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) and promote greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by students with disabilities.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would help connect students with the DRC, share information about available support and services, listen to students' concerns, and encourage them to participate in academic, extracurricular, research, and career opportunities. I would also work with fellow students to promote a respectful and accessible environment across the university.
This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to help build a culture of inclusion where every student is valued for their abilities and has equal opportunities to learn, participate, and succeed.
