Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities, respect, and access to education, regardless of disability. As a student of BS (ICS/IT) at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I want to contribute to building a more inclusive and accessible university environment.
I would like to raise awareness among students about disability rights, accessibility, available support services, assistive technology, and opportunities provided through the Disability Resource Center (DRC). I also want to encourage students with disabilities to participate confidently in academic, technological, extracurricular, and career development activities.
With my background in Information Technology, I am particularly interested in using technology to support accessibility and inclusion. I would like to help students learn about digital tools and assistive technologies that can make education and communication easier for persons with disabilities.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would also serve as a bridge between students and the DRC by listening to students' concerns, helping them access relevant resources, and promoting positive communication between students, faculty, and university administration.
I see this opportunity as a chance to serve my university, develop my leadership and communication skills, and contribute to a culture where students with disabilities are respected, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.
