Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities, respect, and access to an inclusive and supportive educational environment. I want to contribute to promoting disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.
As a BS Agriculture student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I value teamwork, cooperation, community service, and helping others. I would like to use these values to support the Disability Resource Center (DRC) and promote greater awareness about the rights, needs, challenges, and abilities of students with disabilities.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would help students learn about available DRC services, academic support, scholarships, assistive resources, career opportunities, and other university facilities. I would listen to students' concerns, help connect them with the appropriate support, and encourage students with disabilities to participate actively in academic, research, extracurricular, sports, and professional activities.
I would also work with fellow students to promote understanding, respect, accessibility, and equal participation. I believe that creating an inclusive environment is a shared responsibility, and every student can contribute to positive change.
This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to help build a university environment where students with disabilities are recognized for their abilities and potential and have equal opportunities to learn, participate, grow, and succeed.
