Why I became a PEDO Ambassador

I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal access to education, technology, opportunities, and a supportive learning environment. I want to contribute to promoting disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.

As a BS (ICS/IT) student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I am interested in technology and its potential to improve accessibility and make education more inclusive. I would like to promote awareness about assistive technologies, digital resources, accessible learning tools, and other solutions that can help students with disabilities overcome barriers in their academic journey.

As a DRC Ambassador, I would serve as a bridge between students and the Disability Resource Center by listening to students' concerns, sharing information about available services, and helping them connect with appropriate academic, technological, financial, and career support. I would also encourage students with disabilities to participate confidently in academic, extracurricular, technological, and professional activities.

I believe that inclusion requires more than physical accessibility. It also requires awareness, understanding, respect, and equal participation. I would work with fellow students to promote positive attitudes toward persons with disabilities and encourage a culture where everyone feels welcome and supported.

This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to contribute to an inclusive and accessible environment where every student is valued for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, participate, and succeed.
