Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal opportunities, respect, and access to an inclusive and supportive educational environment. I want to contribute to promoting awareness about disability inclusion and help create a university community where students with disabilities feel valued, respected, and confident.
As a BS Agriculture student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I understand the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and community participation. I would like to use these values to support the Disability Resource Center (DRC) and help promote a better understanding of the rights, needs, and potential of students with disabilities.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would help raise awareness about available DRC services, academic support, scholarships, assistive resources, career opportunities, and other facilities. I would listen to students' concerns, help connect them with the appropriate support, and encourage students with disabilities to participate actively in academic, extracurricular, research, sports, and professional activities.
I would also encourage fellow students to develop a more positive and respectful understanding of disability and accessibility. I believe that inclusion is a shared responsibility, and small efforts can help create meaningful change within the university community.
This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to contribute to an accessible and inclusive environment where every student is recognized for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
