Why I became a PEDO Ambassador
I want to become a DRC Ambassador because I believe that every student deserves equal access to education, opportunities, technology, and a supportive university environment. I want to contribute to promoting disability inclusion and help create a campus where students with disabilities feel respected, confident, and empowered.
As a BS (ICS/IT) student at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, I am particularly interested in the role technology can play in improving accessibility and education. I would like to promote awareness about assistive technologies, digital resources, accessible learning tools, and other services that can help students with disabilities overcome barriers in their academic journey.
As a DRC Ambassador, I would serve as a bridge between students and the Disability Resource Center by listening to students' concerns, sharing information about available support, and helping them connect with appropriate resources. I would also encourage students with disabilities to participate in academic, technological, extracurricular, and professional activities.
I believe that inclusion is not only about providing facilities, but also about creating awareness and changing attitudes. I would work with fellow students to promote respect, understanding, accessibility, and equal participation across the university.
This opportunity would allow me to serve my university while developing my leadership, communication, teamwork, and advocacy skills. My goal is to contribute to an inclusive and accessible environment where every student is valued for their abilities and has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, innovate, and succeed.
