Our History
Pak Everbright Development Organization (PEDO)
PEDO was conceived and initiated in 2004 by persons with disabilities and human rights advocates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The organization was formally registered in 2009 as Pak Everbright Development Organization (PEDO) under the Societies Act.
Over the past two decades, PEDO has grown into KPK’s most trusted disability-led organization, directly serving over 20,000 persons with disabilities across the province.
Key Milestones:
• 2004 — Founded by persons with disabilities in Peshawar, KPK
• 2009 — Formally registered as Pak Everbright Development Organization
• 2012 — Launched Free Wheelchair Mission providing assistive devices to PWDs
• 2015 — Established Disability Resource Centers (DRCs) in KPK districts
• 2018 — Launched Khuddar Digital Skills Program for PWDs
• 2021 — Contributed to development of HEC Disability Inclusion Policy 2021
• 2022 — Launched NAVTTC-recognized skills training for persons with disabilities
• 2023 — Partnered with KPITB for digital inclusion of PWDs
• 2024 — Launched ATMIS (Assistive Technology Management Information System)
• 2025 — Expanded School Sab Ke Liye and University Shuttle Service programs
PEDO has partnered with UNHCR, IRC, HEC, NAVTTC, KPITB, and Government of KPK to mainstream disability in development and create a barrier-free society for all.

Capacity Building Training of BRT
A skill for All is a project of PEDO that is registered with National Vocational and Technical Tanning Commission (NAVTTC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It develops and implements
special training program for youth to prepare them for gaining employment and engage in some income generating activities to raise their standard of living and social uplift through self employment.
PEDO is conducting the following training courses:
a. Graphics Designing (Web and mobile app designing)
b. Mobile phone repairing.

KHUDDAR is a project and initiative of Pak Ever-Bright
Development Organization with the collaboration of KPITB under the digital jobs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Project officially launched on March 29, 2022 at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa information
technology board. The project will take 1300 trainee Persons with
Disabilities (PWDs) based on two-month practical training course, which will help them to build the digital skills as per the
international digital market needs.
Pak Ever-bright Development Organization (PEDO), organized one day conference, under the topic “Social Inclusion through Universal Accessibility”, with the partnership of Northwest General Hospital, International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Trans Peshawar. On December 8, 2021 at Auditorium Hall Peshawar on the occasion of “International day for persons with disabilities”.
